On May 7, Disney announced it will participate in the official Lucasfilm fan convention Star Wars Celebration V. Called the Last Tour to Endor, the special hard-ticket event will be held after regular park hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Aug. 14, 2010.
Last Tour to Endor is being promoted as one of the last opportunities to ride the Star Tours simulator before the attraction closes for a “reimagining,” becoming Star Tours II when it re-opens in 2011.
The party will also include Star Wars Shows, a Death Star Disco, party zones, and Symphony in the Stars, a special Star Wars-themed fireworks show. Attendees in appropriate Lucas-universe costumes are welcomed.
Last Tour to Endor will take place Disney’s Hollywood Studios between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. Admission to the event is not included with Walt Disney World theme-park admission, nor is it included with a pass to the Star Wars Celebration V event.
To attend Last Tour to Endor, however, Disney guests don’t need purchase park tickets or a Celebration V pass – just buy a Last Tour ticket.
