A 22-year-old security guard is charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors after he and three teenagers were arrested for several car burglaries along U.S. Highway 192 in west Osceola County.
Kissimmee residents Andy Acevedo-Flores, 22, Luis Carmona-Crespo, 16, Yasdiel Steven Torres, 16, and Jonathan M. Lopez, 17, all face charges for multiple car burglaries in Osceola and Lake counties.
Osceola County Sheriff's Office detectives conducted an operation along U.S. Highway 192 on Aug. 8. At a Radisson Hotel, they spotted a Toyota Scion with the four suspects inside drive into the parking lot. One of the juveniles broke into a Jeep Liberty and stole a GPS, detectives said.
They followed the car to Old Town Suites and saw the suspects break into two more cars before placing all four into custody. Further investigation uncovered other car burglaries they were involved in locally and in Lake County.
Acevedo-Flores was the driver of the car, deputies said. He is a security guard at the Windsor Hills subdivision, in west Osceola County.
All four were charged with criminal mischief, grand theft and possession of burglary tools.
