The Orange County Convention Center was named the host facility for Lucasfilm Ltd.’s 2010 Star Wars Celebration V event, based on the popular Star Wars franchise.
The event will take place Aug. 12-15, 2010, in Orlando, and will feature the cast and crew of the six-part film series, fan-run events, costumes, music, live entertainment, screenings, autographs, discussion panels and sneak peaks of the future of the Star Wars franchise.
Tickets will go on sale starting Dec. 10 and include various specials such as four-day passes for $120, three-day passes for $45 and one-day passes for $50.

“We’re going to have a blast commemorating the 30th anniversary of fan-favorite The Empire Strikes Back as we welcome an entire new generation of fans watching our animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” said Steve Sansweet, Lucasfilm’s head of fan relations, in a prepared statement. “There’s no doubt that Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando will be the ‘must attend’ event for Star Wars fans of all ages and from all parts of the galaxy.”
