The opening of Toy Story Land will prompt longer operating hours for Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, at least for awhile.
The 11-acre area inspired by Disney-Pixar’s “Toy Story” films will have its grand opening on June 30. Then, beginning July 1, the theme park will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. That schedule currently is in place through Aug. 25, according to Walt Disney World’s official website. In contrast, Hollywood Studios’ hours in June are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
But the park will be open as early at 7 a.m. for visitors staying at Disney World hotels if they take advantage of the resort’s Extra Magic Hours. The one-hour head start also is scheduled into last August. Late-night versions of Extra Magic Hours — from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. — are scheduled for Fridays during that period.
