WILLIAMSBURG — Busch Gardens has been named the "World's Most Beautiful Amusement Park" — again.
Members of the National Amusement Park Historical Association voted for the 21st consecutive year to award the Williamsburg amusement park the honor. Walt Disney World, Florida, was the runner-up, a position the park has held since 2005, according to a National Amusement Park Historical Association statement.
In the "Favorite Theme Parks" category, Busch Gardens slipped a spot to third after Walt Disney World's California and Florida parks.
The National Amusement Park Historical Association was founded in 1978. It is "an international, educational and enthusiast's organization dedicated to preserving and documenting the heritage of the amusement park industry, past, present and future," according to the statement.
